A Dedicated Expert

A Dedicated Expert

Kick off the journey with a dedicated Literacy Specialist (an expert in learning to read) to assess your child’s unique reading profile and customize your child’s action plan. They will be your family’s reading coach and check in with you to help guide your child’s learning and ensure progress.

The EarlyBird Assessment

EarlyBird’s award-winning assessment and dyslexia screener was developed and scientifically validated at Boston Children’s Hospital in partnership with faculty at the Florida Center for Reading Research. The Pip School Game

With research-based methods, the Pip School game delights your child with fun exercises that improve their comprehension and phonological awareness skills. Your child plays with Pip and his animal friends for 15-30 minute sessions, paced to your child’s level. We recommend they play at least 4 times per week.

The risk of waiting is too high – and reading challenges are preventable!

Research has proven that addressing reading problems early prevents them from happening later.

  • Risk of reading challenges can be identified in pre-readers
  • With early and effective instruction, over 90% of children will become readers
  • ½ hour of instruction in Kindergarten is equivalent to 2 hours in 4th grade

Why choose the Pip School Program?

Unlike traditional tutoring, our intervention can be used 7 days a week, at a time convenient to your family. We teach fundamental skills not often taught in schools. These skills are essential for children with dyslexia and reading challenges and also benefit all pre-readers.

Starts Early

Research shows that early intervention can prevent the risk of dyslexia. The path to reading starts even before Kindergarten and an early understanding of sound patterns in spoken language helps your child crack the reading code.

What does the Pip School app's instruction look like?

The Pip School Program focuses on the pre-reading skills essential to learning to read. We start with phonological awareness and language comprehension.

Your child learns these skills through proven activities in a game-based app. When practicing phonological awareness, your child uses tiles to represent sounds and words. We use voice recognition specifically developed for children. With language comprehension, your child creates scenes to match sentences they hear, and they sort objects into groups based on meaning.

This approach is aligned with the Science of Reading.
